Anyone else notice the parallels between GWII and the movie The Wizard of Oz?
Our fighter pilots are writing Surrender Dorothy in the sky over Baghdad while Baghdad Bob is standing outside the Rashid Hotel yelling PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN! and the media is reporting that Chemical Ali is not merely dead, hes really most sincerely dead.
Heres how I envision the cast:
Jessica Lynch - Dorothy
Both were injured, ended up in a foreign land, were taken prisoner and rescued by their friends.
Anti War Protestors aka Democrats - Scarecrow
No brains! Stupid is as stupid does!
Elite Republican Guard Flying Monkees
They learned this from the French
UN - Tin Man
No heart could care less about the Iraqi people
France - Lion
No balls
Coalition Forces - Good Witch Glenda
Came to free the people
Iraqi citizens Munchkins
Chemical Ali Wicked Witch of the East
Both died from having a house fall on them
Saddam Wicked Witch of the West
Wizard Baghdad Bob aka Minister of Wishful Thinking

Possibly setup "finds" of WMD that turn out not to be true. Don't be too hasty to say something isn't true. There have been no WMD finds from the last few days that have been debunked. No, just further testing that will either confirm or not.

Get that nap! Make some coffee later and stay up for the " fireworks"! I came home cooked dinner and now am in my favorite position, feet propped up, big screen tv on, and my laptop right here!

Which Bag cam are you watching?
To: commish
ahhh the sound of freedom crossing the night skyin Baghdad. And again... The A-10s are out. I hope that means some of our guys are up and on the move already, to give Bob something to lie about today.
To: Timeout
You better get that nap in......I think we might be getting ready to make another tour...this sounds like a fighter CAP is overhead..

The assets were burned days later. They weren't at the bunker. Saddam or whoever was left killed a bunch of suspects, i.e. 100% of expendables in his eyes.
We held fire because if the first round of 28 devices didn't do the job, tough. Surprise was gone, too.

Hello folks!!! long time lurker first time poster. Been following these 'operation' threads since the start. Want to thank you for putting me onto the web cam links also.
Being new, I need help. I was perusing one of these threads when I came upon an image of one of our fighting women. A beautiful woman with a huge smile on her face. It looked asthough she may have been atop a tank. Also she had one eye covered by a moniker that was probably used for sighting enemy positions.
I realize this is probably not the proper place to ask for such info but I'm sort of at a loss to locate it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Token opposition in Baghdad, the special republican guard, where are they? And remember the entrance into Baghdad was preceeded by the bombing campaign. Where do YOU think many of the republican guard are, hm? They're dead.

The first nite the tanks started into Iraq from Kuwait, I watched about 5 minutes of a Koppel report. He took the view of calling our troops/tanks the invaders. I haven't watched ABC's coverage since.

Rightly deserved...and it will probably be the Mother of All Showers. You mean like this?:

British troops from 2 Platoon 1 Parachute Regiment, part of 16 Air Assault Brigade, take a break from patrolling the front line near Basra to cool down and freshen up by means of an improvised shower unit in Iraq

A-10's are out 24/7 over Baghdad until further notice. CENTCOM plan is continuous air cover.
