I have a story about Patton too -- not exactly to that but related, in a way. Too bad I had too much wine to remember the details. Patton was terrific AND there were other great tank commanders, too.
In any case, you should let Patton speak for himself, and quote him at least. What would Patton have done to someone in his staff passing operational information to the the Canadians? It would be silly to think such a man would be hung.

LMAO!! That is great!

I doubt the German reporter killed at the communication post is the same person who has been heard on the bagcam. The communication post would be hosting embedded reporters, and the folks by the bagcam are not embedded reporters.

These threads are truly priceless. Especially this one. There is not funnier stuff (than on FR - and a lot on this thread) anywhere in our fair land. Thanks to you hardy souls who can stay awake through the night (action) hours! I AM going to try this one of these days but so far, no luck making it into the late / early AM hours.
Knighthawk is posting some good stuff by the way over Marines Greeted with White Flags and Cheers. A bit outdated compared to this up to the minute thread - but a good read.

Six Flags! LOL!

The German journalist is Christian Liebig, reporter for the most-read German weekly magazine FOCUS (focus.de). A kind of TIME magazine. Last week, he celebrated his 35th birthday among his "new friends" - how he called the US troops...

Maria Carey's closet comes to mind, too, Yes, especially how she had the dresser or whatever she was who lives in her closet telling Mariah what to where. I'm about 99% certain Saddam had one of those guys too.
What's the CBS BagCam pointing at? Looks like some kind of light in the sky.

Thanks for that info. I hadn't heard too much about the reporters.

Just checking in. Is that a Global Hawk on CBS cam?

Why would a military aircraft such as a Global Hawk have a light on it? Why would any military aircraft on mission over Bagdad have a light?

Well, I took a short nap, and awoke to Neil Cavuto interviewing some guy named Ullman who was pushing for France and Germany and the UN to be involved in the reconstruction of Iraq! Grrr. He was going on and on about how this would require delicate diplomacy and we must be magnanimous in defeat. (Since we have yet to defeat the current French and German governments, I personally don't think it is necessary.)
However, I was then quite cheered by Jim Angle, reporting from Belfast, who says that this is NOT going to happen. President Bush has very strong feelings on this!
Good to hear..and I love Jim Angle, by the way.

Drone. Saw this the other day circling Baghdad.

He was the first German to be killed in that war, so I´m really saddened, now. I weekly read his reports, so today too. :-(
