If you notice, many of the leftist articles and letters to the editor are framed around these rules for radicals. Whenever I write a letter to the paper, I always mentionthe unsuccessful attempt by the writer to follow these rule of the famous socialist, Saul Alinsky, then I quote the rule. The rule about making Christians live up to their own book of rules is a favorite with the left.

For instance, one of the local professors wrote an article complaining about flag bunting that was decorating the downtown area near the university and tried to say that honoring the flag was in violation of the commandment, thou shalt have no other Gods before me. I said that the pledge said under God, not before God, so the author's point was a non-sequitur.

Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule.

This is a very important point, because it's true. For example, the middle class has been cowed by homosexual activists using one word, "homophobia."

This is a tactic that the Right can and should adopt, because the Left is deserving of ridicule.

The only drawback to employing ridicule is that this approach stifles honest debate and should, therefore, only be used as a last resort against the malevolent and closed minded.

Hmmm, 25-year spread. It must have been an important anniversary for his refusal to grow the eff up. I suppose I thought I was a "radical" back in the 70's...but I got over it somewhat.
