You know, your special forces guys are as creepy/funny as ours. I especially liked the last disappearance into thin air.

That sounds like the beginning to a great love story! :) It does sound romantic but IMHO she doesn't deserve him!

This is a brilliant story.
I'm sure Olga Craig gets goose bumps thinking, and trying to write about this story.
Bump!

BTW, have you seen the movie A Town Called Alice? Now that is one great romantic war story; Bryan Brown starred in it.

That sounds like the beginning to a great love story! :)A lot of the reporters have been completely taken in by the young, muscular soldiers, nobly doing their duty to liberate a people... reporters falling in love with their subjects is not good for objective reporting.

That sounds like the beginning to a great love story! :) For Olga, or you? Should Jay be nervous?
To: MadIvan
In the smoke and the confusion and the deafening noise, I ran straight into him, my left arm colliding with his assault rifle. "Who the f*** are you?" he asked incredulously, surprised to see a British woman. "Who are you?" was my instinctive response. LOL! You gotsta love this stuff......
To: MadIvan
I took my eyes off him for a moment and he did it again. He just disappeared.Having grown up on James Bond ya gotta love this story, there are literally thousands of UK and US special forces in Iraq, the "tip of the tip" of the spear.

Objective is boring. Subjective passionate lovestories are exciting, especially if the man disappears in the dark and you're a reporter on a bridge under fire - umm, where's my instant copyright machine??
To: Mister Baredog
there are literally thousands of UK and US special forces in Iraq, the "tip of the tip" of the spear. Fox reported 10,000 inside Baghdad, alone.

I sometimes wish I had whatever it took to attract a man like that.
OTOH, perhaps it is better for me not to know.
God bless them.
