I'm bummed my OU Sooners are out of the running...
but I've got a smile for these Jayhawkers in Baghdad!

Too bad they aren't showing that fun "Jayhawk" mascot on the flag as well!

Yep. Fort Riley Kansas.

Saw $1 million worth of weaponry fired off in a minute in the early 1980's. That was neat. A couple of 500 lb bombs dropped from jets flown from CO, A10 warthogs firing on the junk in the range, Apache helos sneaking behind us over the trees and grandstand then hitting the range with rockets and machine guns, artillery firing to the range from 1 1/2 miles away and a multiple rocket launcher on display.... It was a sight and $1 million went a long way back then.

I'm with you, it scares the goose bumps outta me! That's one reason I'm in constant prayer! Toooooo much over confidence is not a good thing, especially when the HEART of Iraq is yet to be conquered!

Don't worry....this all folds into the M.O. of Bush. With him and the adm. it's always been Tougher Days Ahead...but in the end it becomes much smoother than projected.

It's the biassed media that tries to turn comments upside down to make Bush look bad, but they have not learned yet...Bush has beat them at every turn because of their true arrogance and lefty ingrain.

He knows how to really make them look bad by just staying out of the way.

Ain't that the truth. When one's enemies are putting their foot in their mouth, don't get between their foot and their mouth.

Agreed...
...and I tip my hat to the UTexas team. As bummed as I was after watching them
take down the Sooners in Norman a few weeks ago...it was something to watch Texas
storm back for the win. They sure had the look of a "never say die" team.

As much as the TV execs are growing over this years March Madness ratings,
it's still a great contest.

Because every American soldier deserves a turn posing in front of a Saddam portrait for a Hero Picture. :-)

Anyone who is playing Marquette should be scared to death as well, they looked unstoppable in that Kentucky game.

The only question is will their players be able to shoot in a dome where Kansas has more big game experienee?

We should alter those huge pictures of Hussein so it looks like he's petting a pig.

Yes, they should (the sooner the better). However, I do recall pictures of some of the Brits buldozing a Saddam picture early on in Southern Iraq. Seems since this regime is everpresent, our guys can make it a point to remove any and all references to the butcher that they can. There will still be thousands of other "Saddam pictures" for the freed Iraqi people to tackle. Just MHO.

On Fox News today, we watched an American in a tank knock down a statue of Saddam. Marvelous! Then we watched tanks heading toward Bagdad and there's a large picture of Saddam along the highway. I asked my husband why the soldiers didn't shoot it and my husband said "I think they are keeping a sharp eye out for Iraqi soldiers in the woods".

Saddam Insane must love himself above all else - all these pictures and statues - sheesh. I do think our military, when they are not otherwise occupied and have some time, do tear down the pictures and statues. Some days ago we watched as an American soldier and some Iraqis tore one down.
