"Lynch's family in West Virginia said doctors had determined she'd been shot. They found two entry and exit wounds "consistent with low-velocity, small-caliber rounds,'' said her mother, Deadra Lynch."
We are now hearing again that Jessica was wounded. Perhaps this explains the urgency of her first surgery.
I was at their home in Palestine yesterday, which is 38 miles from me. Randy Coleman, the state Director of Military Affairs and Public Safety, said that she was currently undergoing her second surgery, this time on here legs.

Small caliber pistol ammo? Doesn`t sound like standard military stuff, those animals need to be found and shot.

"Jessica held up her hand and grabbed the Ranger doctor's hand, and held onto it for the entire time, and said, Please don't let anybody leave me,''' Reunart said. "It was clear she knew where she was and didn't want to be left anywhere near the enemy.''I can only dream of having the fortitude of that courageuos young soldier! It's wonderful that she gets to see her family that soon after the trauma she has been through! She is the perfect example of the courage and dedication of our country's defenders, one and all!
It's a wonderful bit of news but I have to tarnish it by saying...TAKE THAT YOU HOLLYWOOD ANTI-AMERICANS!!

found two entry and exit wounds "consistent with low-velocity, small-caliber rounds, Probably 9mm Makarov or 7.65mm (.32cal auto) Chezch. The Iraqis carry mostly former Soviet small arms.
The thugs who beat up this soldier must be found and punished.

I am glad they are going to Germany. The sooner they get to her the quicker she will get better. Amazing what family love and support will do for healing the body.

I'm an American soldier, too Yes, she is. Too bad they didn't have time to give her a gun and save one for her.

Hollywood has already taken that and run away with it. They want to do a picture on her story.

Please forgive me for a little shameless self-promtion. But there should be more about this story in the next few days at our website, The American-Partisan.
I doubt that I will break any exclusive stories, but I will share some insights I gleaned from a couple of good sources.

So Rockefeller has a heart, huh? I'm glad to see he has done something positive in this war but,you just know that he's also doing it for face time. In any event, the Lynch family benefits and that's what's important.

I really resent the initial misrepresentation of the terrible wounds this soldier received at the hands of our enemies.
Guess they rightly thought americans would be rethinking the place for women in combat.
The survival of this soldier is a testiment to her courage and fortitude.

Hollywood has already taken that and run away with it. They want to do a picture on her story.I hope they are cringing and washing the bad taste out of their mouths while living with the fact that their using Jessica's courage to promote their $$$ making ordeal! After all it's people like her that keeps the opportunity there for them.
Every penny earned should go to Jessica and her family and to the USO or the like.
I can't imagine who could fit the role in Hollywood! Any ideas?

Mandy Moore would be good playing her. Julia Roberts is a wonderful actress in movies where they type cast her as a southern woman, but she's too old. Jennifer Love Hewitt.

"Jessica Lynch," called out an American soldier, approaching her bed. "We are United States soldiers, and we're here to protect you and take you home."Peering from behind the sheet as he removed his helmet, she looked up and said, "I'm an American soldier, too."
Well, that brought a tear or two. Maybe a couple more than that.
To: capydick
You are kidding I hope.

I can't think of any of the hollywierd bimbos being able to play her. They aren't fit to lick her boots! I hate all the so-called actresses they have nowadays. All looks and no substance or talent. Tired of all these pretty lookalikes. I think the family is already looking into the movie. They will probably let Hollywierd do it. After all there will be alot of money for them. I just hope they make sure they don't let Hollywierd walk all over them.
