The Washington TImes had this article today about Saturday's happenings in DC Rallies against, for war planned

The Iraqi people will be no better off with Saddam Hussein out of power, one antiwar organizer said yesterday as groups for and against the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq prepare to stage rallies downtown at the same time on Saturday.
"Saddam kept power by secret police, torture and murder. Imagine what a U.S. occupation might look like," said Jason Kafoury, a spokesman for the group United for Peace and Justice. "For Saddam to keep power, he had to brutalize his own people. Now it's our job to keep peace, and we might have to do it through very brutal means."
Mr. Kafoury said the Iraqi populace has not accepted coalition armed forces as liberators, and will revolt unless they are suppressed by force.

Thought we could all use a laugh. See you Saturday.

I don't know what the proper term is, but the arrogance of the left is so amazing. See how they belittle the intelligence of the Iraqis. The Iraqis are not animals that need to be penned up in order to be kept in line. Once they see how freedom works, they'll find the solution that best operates in their country.

Mr. Kafoury did acknowledge that the antiwar movement's direction has shifted because of the success of the U.S. military invasion of Iraq, and that it has been harder to motivate people to attend antiwar rallies. He said the antiwar movement is "evolving into a longer-term movement to stop Bush in 2004, and to stop U.S. unilateral, pre-emptive wars."

Big farkin' surprise there.

(eye roll)
