For us music deprived, a list of songs would be nice...

Pop star Madonna has decided to withdraw the antiwar-themed video for her new single "American Life" out of respect for U.S. troops. I understand that it was released in Europe.

The Beastie Boys are anti-war? That's funny. You mean the three white guys who rap like they are black and from the ghetto but grew up in the Village? You mean the ones who's first (and only) hit song was "Fight for the Right to Party". Oh, OK. I respect that. Ha ha ha. And these fellows went to what college to get their degrees in history?
Useful Idiots.
I suggest we continue to use only NON VIOLENT means to honor the Dali Lama and idiot pacifists everywhere in our drive to FREE TIBET. We can not, morally, impose sanctions on China, which would harm innocent Chinese citizens. Therefore we should attempt to FREE TIBET using only meditation, levitation exercises and Beastie Boy free MP3 downloads. When Tibet is still a province of China in 2203 perhaps their grandchildren will understand that Freedom isn't free, and may require that you fight and die to get it for your kids.
Rock on, boys.

In a statement on her Web site, Madonna said that the video was filmed before the war started, and isn't appropriate to air at this time. It isn't appropriate at any time.
The video depicts bloody babies (dead and tortured American 19 year olds don't qualify) and it depicts President Bush throwing grenades and lighting a cigar from the flames of war.
