Keith was being a jerk again, making fun of Rummy with the "known knowns" thing he said. The texts of some of Rummy's statements have been converted into "found poetry" as in the following example:
The Unknown
As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we dont know
We dont know.

Like I said, makes perfect sense to me.
Keith was doing it in a "skit" to make fun of it. He's even worse in news than he is in sports.

I read that on Slate.com; the whole thing was priceless. Hard to tell what the spirit of the piece was. I suspect it was mean-spirited. Still loved it. Rummy makes way more sense than most "professional" writers.
I've taken to watching all his archived briefings on C-SPAN, put one on wen I get up and am reading FR and drinking coffee....
