Has MSNBC rerun Chip Reid's report? I'm not sure where he is--north of Baghdad, I believe. He said that they were in a firefight with some "to the death" fighters. When the fight was over, they found that about half were NOT from Iraq, but from Yemen, Sudan, Syria (there were two other countries, but I can't remember which ones). He also said they found huge wads of cash on the bodies. They also discovered an "international training camp." He didn't know if the camp was new or had been there for a while. He reported they didn't know if these were mercenaries (the money paid to them by their governments) or from another source. The words "al Qaeda" weren't mentioned, but implied.
This happened when I was unpacking the groceries (it's the servant's day off, you know), so I didn't post it at the time.
I just barely caught part of that report too. Heard about the $$. Maybe they will run it again. There doesn't seem to be too many stories today and the rerun cycle is fairly frequent.

The other night, Dr. Bob A. was talking about them, saying the ones he had contact with that night were from Syria and Eqypt, I think it was, and maybe one other place, was it Jordan?
