What an incredibly thoughtless question. The family walked away and onto the plane, obviously overcome.

Why couldn't this reporter focus on the happy aspect of this trip, the family's anticipation of their reunion with Jessica? Her mother had just said how happy and excited she was. It's like the reporter just had to burst that bubble and drag the family back down.

Come to think of it, that's exactly what the lib press has been doing with their coverage throughout the war.

There is only one answer: Of course, we are Americans and feel bad for every soldier lost and their parents as well. It's as if the reporter thinks they should feel guilty because they are rejoicing since their daughter was lost and is now found. They should not feel guilty but should rejoice as we all did when she was rescued.
