He has bought himself his office with our money for 30 years or more. He is the biggest spender in the history of the Congress and that says a lot.

beats me but when i was in wheeling wva at wheeling jesuit u, his hand was on quite a few things (ie., buildings with his and wife Erma's name on them!)

He's the ultimate Porkmeister of the Senate. Gets an unbelievable, mind-boggling amount of Federal money to build stuff in WV or move stuff to WV.

There are MORE buildings, and schools, and streets, and whatever, in WV named after Byrd than there are buildings, etc, in Iraq named after Saddam
