You know, there's a lot of talk about Nazis, but these guys seem worse. Can any historians out there remember a case where soldiers forced citizens of their own nation out in front of them to die?

Sure. In Israel. Hamas (big supporters of Saddam), Islamic Jihad, Yasser Arafat's al Aqsa's Martyr's Brigade, Fatah, PFLP....the list is endless. The techniques of the fedayeen are taken from their playbook.

I keep thinking of these fellas as soldiers and they are to a certain extent agents of their gov't. To do this to your own people is insane and nearly unheard of in "warfare" as opposed to terrorism. My point I suppose is that why don't the RATS and other useful idiots and fellow travelers comprehend the horror of this approach. I cannot comprehend their incomprehension.
