Yes, I agree, I can hardly play well, not compared to some of the people I listen to, the banjo is my grand father's ,he played amazingly and I inherited it

My fingers are too fat for a Mandolin. They are tuned like a violin. The fingering is weird.

If you buy one, get a Gibson. There is no substitute.
