what military comment? ... please refresh my memory, thanks.

Unbelievable. Headline in tomorrow's Washington Post:
Clock is Ticking for Bush
Can you believe that cr@p? It talks about how little time is left to repair the economy.

I believe long-haired-maggot-infested-dope-smoking-fm-types pulled that same crap during Vietnam.

From what I understand, pretty much all of it except for the palaces.

Do regular Iraqi citizens have weapons? Are they allowed? I mean, is it like Texas where everyone is packin'?

Ooops! Sorry about the double post. :)

There was a thread about those ghouls. Not much info on the original article. I can't find it but I think it was in Phoenix. The military arranged a call from the family to the soldier so they could talk to him and know everything was OK. There's a con scheme that runs along similar lines. I hope there's some way to catch these Clymers.

The economy will bounce back nicely by autumn.... and should happen it will put paid to the Democrats hope of beating President Bush next year. All the media can do is talk down the economy just as they tried to talk down a victory in Iraq. So far they're batting zero on the latter and may not even succeed on the former. In the event the Dems fate is bleak, Nancy Pelosi and The Daschle may want to consider martyrdom operations in a bid to forestall the inevitable onrushing GOP tsunami.

No way! First thing you do when you set up a police state is to confiscate all the guns. I don't doubt there are a LOT of weapons around -- the whole region is awash in waepons and all the men are conscripted -- but "keep and bear" is not a concept there. As of now, if it has a gun and in not cleary US or UK, it's presumed to be hostile.

I'm off to bed. Don't think they'll drive into the roundabout tonight....they're forming a cordon around the city. See y'all in Baghdad tomorrow.

His only value would be in turning him over to the "International Community (TM)" And have another Milosevich debacle? No thanks. Either we have a military tribunal for him, or we hand him over to a new Iraqi republican govn't. An international court would be a farce.

You are sooo right, I remember how a dozen or more wreckers would show up at an accident, a state trooper would pull a disc with a number representing each company there to pick the one to handle it, BTW I also noticed the cars on the left side of the circle appear to bounce like low-riders, wanna bet they got little bouncy head camels in the back window? LOL

They're just back again, having one last fling to reminisce in their lost youths. Lousy

Nope, apparently.
Full auto weapons like AK-47s are reserved for Ba'ath Party members but apparently everything else isn't prohibited at all, and there are thousands of gun shops with handguns, rifles, and shotguns throughout Iraq. And hunting is quite popular.
