can you imagine the world outrage if Bush had taken France's position? You can write the article with little imagination..."Bush protects oil contracts, economic interests and dirty secrets at the expense of the people of Iraq who are brutalized by a sadistic tyrant."

That's what I think I like most about Bush....he's said he "doesn't look to polls to tell him what he ought to do." He's does the right thing, regardless of the wrong people wanting to do nothing.

While preaching against the war, the media invested heavily in run-up to it. They wanted it more than just about anyone. As far as the media war, Fox is the victor by far. Remember, it was GW I that made CNN.

Their call to prayer has a dual use now (ya know, Iraq is really well versed in those dual uses). No more air raid sirens so they use the call to prayer. LOL

FN just reported major explosions SW of the airport so that is probably what prompted the serenade.

Yeah according to a report a few days back they say "God Is Great, he will protect us" when there's a bomb coming, and "God is Great, the Enemy has left us" as an all clear signal

I believe you're right about the air raid warning sirens. They've substituted using the mosque loudspeakers and something akin to a call for prayer to warn the populace.
