French holdings in te USA include Aqua-Chem, a large manufacturer of salt-to-fresh water purification systems, and a large electrical switchgear manufacturer (I forgot which one--not Allen-Bradley.

German holdings include all the Siemens subsidiaries in heavy electrical goods (gear, transformers, etc.) and LOTS of other manufacturing concerns.

It won't be ALL that easy to keep the Frog and Kraut hands off the money...

Hey! Did anybody else see the Eleanor Clift and Bill Kristol exchange on FOX News with Neil Cavuto? What an IDIOT she is. Kristol handled her pretty well I thought. She got me stirred up so much I sent Neil Cavuto an e-mail:

I can appreciate your desire to present a "Fair and Balanced" view of the news. But Eleanor Clift needs to pull her head out of her 'you-know-what'. She doesn't see the Elite media's intentional misportrayal of the Bush administration by the NY Slimes as being a problem. Well, I agree with Bill Kristol - the American people will see their portrayal for what it is - a biased publication with an anti-Bush agenda. Likewise for the Elite media portrayal as U.S. forces being in a "quagmire" when the reality is we have made AN HISTORIC advance unseen EVER before in modern military history. The New York Times is not the only written publication doing this either. The LA Times has been as bad or WORSE ! (Not only as shown by Bill O'Reilly on FOX, but check out the articles showing the media bias on http://www.FreeRepublic.com).

PLEASE GET ELEANOR CLIFT OFF of your program. Or maybe not. Showing her bias versus Bill Kristol (whom, frankly, I'm not TOO fond of because of his occasional uncalled for jabs at President Bush), might just open some of the LIBERALS and the middle of the road fence-sitters eyes.

re: tank shown in video this morning on fire (M1A1)

I believe that since Greg Kelly reported their excursion this morning was a "there and back" that they had a disabled tank and had to destroy it because they couldn't recover it immediately. Remember this when Ol' B Bob reports a destroyed tank. I work with a guy who used to build these things and our M1A1's can't take out our M1A1's with a tank round.
