Gen. Brooks handled the first attack really well, and has been doing a good job, IMHO... What a bunch of losers! He threw that outta the park. Did Wolffie baby get shipped home? I haven't seen him there since then.

Who was relieved of command and why? I missed that.

yeah Jessica is one fine spunky gal, those Iraqis couldn't kill her, and they must have really tried,Not trying to flame but that is a ridiculous statement. They could have executed her as they did the others if they had wanted to. They had alternate plans for Jessica

I think he left back for Washington. That was one of the critiques by the press early on. They thought they weren't getting anything useful out of the briefings.

You know, as in Private Ryan, how good it is that the one that survived, the one that was rescued, was one with honor. One who will know to honor the sacrifices made by others for her. One who will never forget.
As I will never forget that they all died for ME. They are not Jesus, but they are the nearest thing, in my book.

For the entire story of Pvt. Lynch's rescue, word for word, the full text of all CentCom briefings can be found at their website:
http://www.centcom.mil/ Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Today's briefing will be available later today, after it is typed up.

I haven't seen Wolfie, either; he's maintaining a low profile, or has gone home. Probably not too popular there, either...

I'll have to root around for the article(s), but her brother or father said they were told she had two in & out gunshot wounds from a small caliber weapon, probably a handgun. I believe those wounds were in her leg(s).
If she had compound fractures (bone sticking through the skin), they may not have been able to detect the gunshot wounds until she had surgery.

Regarding other networks not holding the Jessica news, you said
I hope their selfishness...will be duly noted
I think you've already gotten your wish. Note that FOX has had footage of Baghdad invasion for almost 12 hours now. NO OTHER NETWORK has it. FOX got TWO embeds in, otheres zero. Gen. Franks remembers. Good man.

I forget his name, but the situation hasn't been clarified yet. Someone pointed out that he has the same last name of a new KIA, and there might have been some relationship there.

I think I'm gonna buy some NISSAN MOTORS stock monday, I get a feeling there is gonna be a HUGE order of new P/U's in the near future from Iraq.
NISSAN, #1 choice of Fedayeen,Al Qaeda and homicide bombers around the world! .50 caliber gun is optional, warranty does NOT cover premature suicide explosions....LOL
To: Tree of Liberty
I think he left back for Washington. Back to his creature comforts then.

Hardly any sound on MSNBC cam, yeah Jessica is one fine spunky gal, those Iraqis couldn't kill her, and they must have really tried, I hope she took out a whole lot of them. Sorry but some things in life require "extreme prejudice".
Yeh...she fought until she ran out of bullits. Then she kicked their butts until she broke one leg. So she had to switch to the other and she kicked their butts until she broke it. [Smile---one tough soldier; one of 200,000 greeting Saddam.]

Yeah I guess it was lame in retrospect, just woke up and coffee has yet to kick in.
To: Daniel Ramsey
I'd put that money in GM, instead. I think one of the creeds of the new Iraqi govn't will be "buy American"
