Heard on RCI (aka CBC International) tonight that US military flights to Europe are now stopping in Bangor, ME to refuel,
instead of St. John, NF, Goose Bay(?), and one other Canadian airport/airbase as they used to do...

I would not know about that.
I do know a French specialty electronics company lost a $125,000.00 sale this week, and their manufacturer's rep was told the 2 mil a year business they did with one single vendor is history.
I know salesmen who will not specify or sell a French product anymore.
Just when I was happily getting used to the term "dixie chicked", it is changing into "frenched".
In the grand scheme of things, I think the term "frenched" will prevail as the kiss of death in a business transaction.
