Your position is valid of course.

How about this.

Does the constitution prevent "The People" from acting to protect themselves and their institutions from an assault designed to bring about their anilation?

What I am trying to get at is-Are we free to protect ourselves from threats to our existence? (we-meaning any specific group, jew, christian, muslim, etc..)
