Christadelphians? Never heard of that one.

I just remember that name from reading a book about cults. What about “Oneness” Pentecostals? The ones who deny the Trinity? Maybe you have heard of them, sorry about the obscure Christadelphians.

What I don’t understand is your statement about not “elevate them to the same level as the faith upon which this country was built."

What do you propose we do with them, or not do with them?

I apologize for not clarifying that statement. What I mean is that by giving their "concerns" a place at the government table aimed at influencing the direction of that government in their favor amounts to elevating them to "special" status. I forget what the exact name of the official Islamic pressure group is, but the point is, this is a country of laws rooted in Christian doctrine.

We have graciously welcomed those of other "religions" into our country. Most practice their religions unobtrusively. Islam, on the other hand, by its very nature wreaks havoc wherever it gains a foothold. Historically, where Islam goes, violence follows. Its doctrines preclude it existing in peace with others. I have seen nothing in the documents or history of this country to suggest that we should reshape who we are to accommodate the comfort level of invading religions. Common sense and a little knowledge of history makes it quite clear that "freedom of religion" referred to freedom of denomination and in the early days of the nation, even Catholics did not have equal rights in all things, doubtless because it was Catholicism that was perceived as the tyrant from which our ancestors fled.
