When Saddam came to power he held a cabinet meeting. One Saddam called out the names of political rivals at the meeting. They were removed from the room and summarily executed. When it was all over there were only a few ministers left in attendnace. Tariq Aziz, who was one of the few remaining, reportedly broke down and cried.
