Democrat Crack-up Rolls On
April 3, 2003
Thursday's required reading for the EIB class is Byron York's National Review Online column: "The Dems are Blocking Nearly Every Bush Judge." You can also listen to me read the piece, which of course has to do with the Democratic Party's effort to pack the courts with extremist, liberal judges. They don't think President Bush won the election, so they don't think he has the right to appoint any judges.
York: "Since the new Senate convened in January, the president has nominated 19 candidates for the courts of appeals. At this moment, twelve of those nominees are being held up by Democratic opposition. Most of the rest are new nominations that haven't yet had time to be blocked. Just two have been confirmed." The Democrats are engaging in these absurd parliamentary shenanigans while the president is waging war against terrorism - to prevent the next suicide attack, including another attempt to blow up their sorry buttocks in the Capitol Building.
On Wednesday, Nancy Pelosi read a list of the dead on the House floor. The vast majority of the names she read were Hispanic, many from her own state - yet here she is participating in this filibuster of Miguel Estrada. This will not go unnoticed. Senator John Kerry (D-MA) is out there now saying we "need regime change" in America, likening Bush to Saddam Hussein. This strategy is transparent and almost suicidal. They're so blinded by hatred and seething with anger, that it has consumed what little powers of reason they had.
This strategery is backfiring among rank-and-file Democrats. You wouldnt imagine how many of them came up to me at the recent Cigar Aficionado dinner to say that they couldn't believe it, but they're going to vote for Bush in '04. Democrats like Howard Dean and Tom Daschle and Kerry turned them off with their shrill rhetoric. Kerry's worry about what the world thinks of us rings hollow with people. As Rupert Murdoch said, it's far more important that the world respect us than that they love us. It's something you should learn in first grade, but the Democrat leaders never grew up.

I redally don't get the hatred thing at all. My mother-in-law is a great old lady with the same irrational hatred of Bush and the dreamy eyed love for Clinton. I had to put up with eight years of Clinton's lies and criminal behavior, but it never drove me over the edge.
I do think the blind hatred thing will keep the demos out of power for a long time. And at least the old girl doesn't have it in for me.

What an excellent description of Democrats, "Liberals", and the Left--not just now but always. Anyone who supports these fools (and the psychopaths who lead them) is an even bigger fool. The sooner the Democrat Party commits political suicide, the better for all of us (including them).

We know the media, for the most part, won't call them on their behavior. So where are the Republican complaints about the blockage of Bush's nominees? If they don't keep the issue front and center, the Dems'll get a pass on it, just like every other trick they pull.

If the pubs fail to get these judges passed; I will look for another conservative party that has guts and brains.

Just more proof that every rat in Congress is a card carrying member of The Axis of Internal Evil.
Members of the Axis of Internal Evil are more dangerous than their buddies, the Islamofacists like Soddamned and Obl.
Members of the Axis of Internal Evil pretend to be loyal Americans and work 24/7 to weaken America.

No offense to Rush, but Pelosi is not participating in the filibuster.

FREEPers, I have created the ultimate Estrada activism thread. On it you will find ways to contact Senators, newsspapers, radio/tv people, organizations etc. Go there and help support Estrada. Keep the thread bumped until we get him confirmed.

My best guess with Betty is that it is a touch of class envy. She's a wonderful woman, but this is her blind spot.
The funny thing is that she has more money than me, but I still have the ambitions of youth, relatively.
