Although differences exist, the M1A (quite identical)and the Mini 14 (similar)come to mind.

Remember, though, ATF seems to think (collectively) that Mr. & Mrs. Joe Six-Pack shouldn't be armed. Wouldn't want people shooting back after they kicked down the wrong door and stomped the cat to death (etc.).

Just say that all funding of the BATF is to be from fees derived from the sale of surplus military rifles, fees derived from alcoholic beverage products, and fees derived from tobacco products. That would change the BATF's mind in a hurry.

Besides, that a good way to start trimming the federal budget deficit.
