To: Kadric; Shooter 2.5
I'd really like to have one of these I went through basic training with one of these, thank God they passed out the lighter M-16's for real use. Those things are real heavy, but make great range guns.

You can buy the same basic gun with out the selective fire. I have a National Match M1A. Have a friend that has a legal M14E2, that is a fun gun. If you want select fire I can point you at one selling for $10,000.00 + $200.00 tax.

I carried one at Parris Island in '67, then a Garand during infantry training at Camp Geiger. The M-14 is a good weapon and one which has a LOT of advantages over the small caliber M-16. Of course, I'm biased, as the first one I carried (during Staging Bn at Pendleton in '69, was essentially a single shot .22, as I had to manually cock the thing every round. All the armorer said was, "Live with it." The M-14 was at least very reliable...
