You're right this is a slightly different perspective on the story. The one point that this story does not cover is that this guy is supposedly a lawyer. I suggest that he be made the new attorney general of Iraq. At least we would know that they had an attorney general with compassion.

I like your idea about making him the Attorney-General. But on the other hand he's already done great work, and I'm worried he and his family will now be a target for every Islamic malcontent with a grudge for the rest of his life, for what's he done to help us.

I personally would like to see this guy get a seven-figure bank account, and a chance to live in any coalition country he chooses. And a medal for heroism from the U. S. military also, if that's possible.
