David "Baghdad" Chater I know Sky News is a Rupert Murdoch organization and FOX's "sister" network but this guy irks me. Thye must be trying to do the "balanced" thing, too. :)

Is Dumbocrat Underground still saying that "fierce house to house fighting" will make us surrender?
To: brigette
Brigette, be careful not to let our troops know that! They just might surrender to the iraqi's (what a hoot!). M

Ah, the Iraqi Disinformation Minister. The guy we all love to hate.
I heard Major Bob Bevelaque on FOX this morning say, "I can see this guy, with gunfire in the background, saying, 'There is no gunfire, we are just fine.'" He said he "can't wait till we take this guy out."

The "civilian side"?? I got news for this report. The iraqi airforce is and has been none existent since DAY 1..
Therefore there is no reason to distinguish the Civilian or Military sides of the facility. Also even if there was still some semblance of an iraqi airforce, once you control the runways you control the entire airport!!

There are underground tunnel systems under the airport !
My guess is that after the Vietnam conflict, there should be plenty of
"institutional memory" about dealing with hostiles that try to burrow their way
from the wrath of the US military.
Not to mention all the experience gained by the USMC digging out
soldiers of The Emperor of Japan on a few Pacific Islands during WWII.
And if that ain't enough, I suspect that a call for volunteers from American
oil/hydrology companies would get a few folks who'd JUST LOVE to locate
tunnels with their seismographic equipment.
Maybe time to page Halliburton and let them do a little "pro bono" work...
to counter the adverse publicity.
(Oh nevermind about Halliburton...the mainstream press has decided that
"Halliburton" must be a four-letter word...)
