April 3, 2003 -- DON'T get too worried by the absurd media gloom about the war: The American people aren't listening, and neither should President Bush.
Even if Bush were somehow inclined to bother with The New York Times, any competent political adviser will surely tell him just what I would in these circumstances: Just relax, and win this war.

About time someone said what America is really about, "Trust the people."
Verify that you are on-track occasionally.

You are quite right! It is all propaganda and that is part of terrorist warfare! :)

At work, I have had moderates and even democrats complain about about the ABC( they mentioned p jennings), CNN etc. coverage of the war. They could not believe the constant anti-American bias.

Inside the White House, the media cacophony gets to you.No offense, Dick, but the White House you're familiar with and the current White House (as well as all pre-1993 administrations, come to think of it) bear not even a passing resemblance to each other.

Hopefully, the Toe Sucker is not allowed in the White House, now that it has been fumigated by Bush.

Morris said on "Hannity & Colmes" the other night that Americans so "get" the issues in this war that polls show they would accept THOUSANDS of casualties to depose Saddam.
He didn't say it, but I suspect that Americans view the "war on terror" as ongoing---a long-term proposition---and that we are through being chumps for the rest of the world. If they don't like us, screw 'em.

Say what you want, but Dickie knows his polls. He was offin the 2002 elections, but usually his political sense is pretty good. Don't let your hatred for Clinton, or Morris, blind you to his talent.
Remember, even Patton used Nazis to run the water works and electric plants when he needed their expertise!
