Fisher may fill vacancy in U.S. District Court

President Bush is expected to nominate Pennsylvania Attorney General Mike Fisher to a federal judgeship.

Fisher, who was defeated in the 2002 governor's race by Ed Rendell, is among the most visible Republicans in the state because of his position and recent candidacy. Bush campaigned for him in both the primary and general elections last year.

I doubt it. The 'Rats have been confirming district judges... They have been blocking appeals court judges.
