Sheesh! Check out this line from a NY Times editorial describing Private Jessica Lynch:
...she saw the Army as a way to pay for college and qualify to teach in an elementary school. To many, she represents all the support staff and reserve soldiers suddenly plunged into danger by this war.
Note there is no sense of her volunteering....no, she was
plunged into war. This from the ole gray lady who, we learned last night, requested an op ed piece from Larry Eagleberger...but only if he would criticize the Bush administration. He said he wouldn't be critical...they revoked the request.
