Private Lynch was fighting to the death, didn't want to be captured alive. Gee, why wouldn't she want to be captured? I have a tremendous amount of respect for this true hero. Contrast THAT bravery with our "heroic" athletes...
This lady deserves some serious medals for bravery and guts!
Women on the battlefield? At least, for the next 30-40 yrs, women will have no illusions of what it is they're signing up for. If they want to take the risk, knowing full well, then let them.

Our men and women make me so proud of America. They, not Madonna or Moore or Dixie Chicks make us America.

Good point and I agree that women should hold titles if they have a talent in an area. Same for men who choose fields traditional for women.
However that will never change how my heart feels about it. Being a mom has a lot to do with it. Lord knows I am not a mom in the traditional sense either. I would never allow my views to interfear with another persons freedom of choice but I certainly will voice my opinion.

There's more to women in the military than them just knowing what they're signing up for. There's also the psychological influence they have upon the men around them. That makes them a hindrance, not a help, regardless of their prowess with a rifle.
