And here I thought al Jazeera had stopped broadcasting from Iraq. Looks like they could only stop the lies for a day or two.
To: TonyInOhio
Hopefully we'll see some footage of that tonight ... cheering Iraqis will surely cause Tom Daschle to be "deeply saddened"!!
To: prairiebreeze
Well I see that Al Jazeera is still toting the Baath party line even though they have been evicted from the party.

Where in Iraq is this taking place? On the eastern flank, with the 1st MEF. Somewhere around Al Kut, I'd guess.

Have wondered about that myself. It's like like it would be a new and different tactic for that ilk.

This is sad:
Sleeping US Marine accidentally killed by his own gunThe Marine's M-249 Squad Automatic Weapon fired one round into his chest, U.S. Central Command said in a statement from its war headquarters in Qatar. The accident took place on Wednesday night near the city of Kut, the statement said.

Jeez, Debka must have finally been right about something when they reported that aliens finally decided on supporting the U.S. after closely monitoring the U.N. standoff over WMD. LOL! I'll have to call my S-I-L and tell her she's right :-).

As the only neurosurgeon available to treat a patient with a severe brain injury, Gupta said it was his moral duty to help. But it raised questions about the blurring of roles between doctor and journalist. What this really says is: journalistic ethics do not permit a journalist to distinguish between what is or is not moral. In this case, apparently "ethics" state that a journalist MUST NOT act to save a life.
This is Bullsh*t, of course.

I just switched over to CNN to see how that network is presenting the news today, and couldn't help but noticing how Judy-German-Helmet-Hair is dressed in black (?) and looking absolutly deflated. She just aired an interview with Tom Delay and tried to steer him towards critisizing the war plan--it didn't work, and he even mentioned "some of the people from YOUR network"...LOL!

or crude, low-yield atomic device. This is pure evil, lest we forget. And those are all probably Shia neighborhoods.

party's over.

I don't think there was a moral dilemma but there could have been one. If the injured individual happened to be a U.S. Soldier, then assisting would have been helping the U.S. War effort, which would be an ethical problem for a journalist.
Gum
Would it have been an ethical dilemma if it was an Iraqi soldier?

I don't think we are capable of imagining how bad this could get.

No, they're reporting that it happened today as the assault on the airport started. The Iraqis are claiming that one of our missiles overshot the airport and landed on a nearby village.

Michael Medved said that Luis Farrakan's Nation of Islam brand of Islam teaches that the mother ship will be coming to pick them up...oddly similar to the comet cult. Anyone seen Luis lately? The Pentagon doesn't know who's in charge of the regime and someone's giving orders, telling the Iraqi people to all go the airport..hmmm?

But it raised questions about the blurring of roles between doctor and journalist. Oh, for God's sake, the kid was dying! There should be no questions about the reporter's actions, period. AP oughta be ashamed of themselves. Geez.
