Jim Wilkinson, Gen. Franks' spokesman: "There's a lot of ugly, hard work left to do...all of this has been part of a plan that is methodical...and is working."
"Our troops are in jeopardy right now." "There are multiple fronts in this war." "There's no hardship for us (with lights out)...we can fight in the day, we can fight at night... a lot has been (said) about the heat. Let me tell you, it's hotter on the enemy..." Heh.

BBC's censored reporter in Baghdad reporting that the cut off of electricty may mean that people's food in their refridgerators may spoil.

Bob Arnot saying that in EVERY town they have been to, people lined the streets yelling, "George Bush, George Bush."I know it would give the Secret Service a heart attack and stroke, but can you imagine President Bush visiting Iraq after things have settled down?

I was just going to post about Franks' spokesman who is on Fox. He is very impressive. I know we've all seen him before.
He cautioned that the cover of darkness may be being used by the Dark Side to target innocents and at daybreak will claim the coalition committed whatever they are up to (bombing Shiites and the like).
He cautioned us all (the viewers) to temper our expectations.
He did say this is a regime in their last days, but it will not be over by tomorrow.

Where are you getting this? Is Arnott still reporting on TV?
To: Mo1
Excellant point. I worked night shift in a pediatric heart unit for a year. Barney kept a lot of toddlers quiet. The nurses went mad, but, hey who was more important?
To: Consort
Depends on whether it is pumped or gravity.

Regarding that last question to Rumsfeld about himself and Powell getting along, it just occurred to me that the press just cannot get over the fact that this administration doesn't want to be FRIENDS with them.
More: Guy from CENTCOM saying that the "elite" Republican troops are deadenders and that they will have NO part in any forthcoming negotiations or government.
