What do you mean, "something she's not"? Clearly she *was* and she *is*. Heroes are not supermen. They're most often ordinary people who find themselves in positions where they have to show courage even though they're terrified.
This young soldier put her life on the line for you and came through for you. And whether you like the idea of women in combat or not is beside the point. And if my daughter or your daughter or anyone's daughter wants to defend her country like that when she grows up, I say fan-f'n-tastic.
I'm amazed at this line of "thinking" out there. I guess the only time it's ok for women to fight is if they're in some looney Idaho militia or something.
