Yeah. Somebody said that she probably played with BB guns with her brothers. Ha! That girl had a rifle by the time she was 10 or 12. They raise them that way where she lives, and where I live too. In the hills of WV it's prudent to know how to shoot, so children learn early. Hi flutters. Aren't we proud West Virginians?

Hi WVNan. Yes, I am a very proud West Virginian. Even more so today, because of Jessica.

Learning to shoot and handle a gun was not only prudent it was a necessity. We lived so far out that we relied upon our own resources for protection. I actually had my first experience at shooting at an intruder at the age of 12 (I didn't hit him...just fired warning shots). Not an uncommon age for such an incident in those parts.
