Bill O'Reilly Rips Kofi Annan
Stupidity & Selfishness...

Stupidity and selfishness often go together, and that's the subject of this evening's Talking Points memo.
Finally, United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan has won the Nobel Peace Prize. But Annan does not want the United States to expand its war on terror to Iraq, oh, no, that might destabilize the Gulf region, says Annan. This is choice. Kofi Annan gets the Nobel Peace Prize, but he's unable to come up with many solutions to lasting peace. Milosevic, America got him out. Africa, the UN and Annan stood by and watched millions die in Rwanda. Terrorism, the UN has done nothing to combat the rise of Muslim fundamentalism. The Middle East, Annan is clueless. The USA brokers all the peace conferences. In my opinion, Kofi Annan talks a good game, but that's it. The Nobel Peace Prize should be given to the armed forces of the United States. Those brave men and women are risking their lives so the world can have a lasting peace. Kofi Annan, well, he's having dinner.

Iraq Linked to 9-11 Attacks as U.N. Boss Annan Moves to Protect Saddam Hussein
Cynically exploiting the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan issued a declaration claiming that the United States is legally obligated to seek prior approval from the U.N. Security Council before retaliating against Saddam Hussein of Iraq for anti-American terrorism. In Oslo to accept the Peace Prize, Annan was asked about expanding the war on terrorism and said any attempt to take military action in other parts of the world would be a matter for the Security Council to take up. "Any attempt or any decision to attack Iraq today will be unwise
it can lead to major escalation in the region, and I would hope that would not be the case," he claimed. Such approval would never come because Security Council members China, France and perhaps Russia would veto such action under current circumstances. U.N. Wire, the pro-U.N. propaganda vehicle founded by Ted Turner, also noted that Annan "called on the United States to not expand its current war campaign in Afghanistan to Iraq." Cliff Kincaid of America's Survival commented: "Annan has answered President Bush's challenge in the war against terrorism by choosing the side of terrorists and their state sponsors. As Bill O'Reilly noted, the Nobel Peace Prize should have gone to the U.S. Armed Forces, not the U.N. and its chief." Meanwhile, Iraq News publisher Laurie Mylroie reports that significant evidence links Saddam to the 9-11 attacks. The evidence, she reports, includes
"
[hijacker] Mohammed Atta's two meetings with Iraqi intelligence in Prague: in June 2000, before his first trip to the US; and in April 2001, when he apparently was given the final green light, as following that meeting, thirteen hijackers--those acting as muscle men to restrain the passengers and crew--entered the US and then begin taking trial flights across the country to prepare for the attack. "The evidence also includes the terrorist training camp at Salman Pak, described by several Iraqi defectors and confirmed by UNSCOM. The defectors reported that the camp included an airplane, which non-Iraqi Arabs, Muslim extremists, used to practice hijackings."
