DEBKAfile reports two Special Republican Guards divisions are still combat-capable: Al Medina Division saved itself by retreating into Shiite city of Karbala. RG Baghdad Division is fighting hard to defend all Kut against American Marines

The Medina and Baghdad divisions of the Republican Guard are not Special Republican Guard, they are ORDINARY Republican Guard units. The "Special Republican Guard" is a separate division. You can see that
here and
here/
here. Why does anyone trust anything that comes out of Debka?

RG Baghdad Division is fighting hard to defend all Kut against American MarinesJust like the RG units we bypassed in 1991 were fighting hard to defend Kuwait against US forces?
