I know she's not the only one Ill, but looking at her face was like looking at one of my own Daughters.

For some reason, that just hit me like a slam to the gut.

We don't know what kind of torment these Animals put her through, and I guess I just feel like I want to send her something, in particular.

My youngest Daughter has been making cards to send to Troops at large (for a 5 year old, she is quite the little artist).

However, I don't disagree with you about the Troops at large, PFC Lynch just hit something a wee bit more particular.

I hope that makes sense.

I agree, Baltar. I can't even look at her picture without beginning to cry. I think the reality of seeing her there brings home all the losses we have sustained over there.

But more importantly, her rescue represents the core difference betweent the US forces and the Iraqi war criminals. We put the lives of 20 or 30 troops on the line to save one person. Does anyone seriously think they would do the same? On the contrary, they'd kill 20 or 30 THOUSAND just to save one fat-cat named Hussein.

Let us know if you find out how to send her a message.

I understand the feeling--although for me it just makes me angry that our p.c. military administrators have created such a horrible policy whereby we have to contemplate the idea of female POWs--but I guess for me, personally, this story has been done to death.

At least this girl will go home. Many, many of our male POWs will not, it seems.

And those who will, are just as important, even if not as cute.

When I heard Jessica Lynch was rescued alive, tears welled up in my eyes. When I thought of the families of those who are still missing or won't be coming home, the tears flowed. Is there any interest in creating a thread to track family contact information for all the MIA/KIA, and possibly forming a collective effort to express our thanks and sorrows to the families of all those that encompasses? I also want to wait for Jessica to make it home, and then I want to send her a card or flowers or something once she's here to get it in person.
