That's most likely a TOW missile (surface-to-surface) -- wire guided by the launcher.

It's not a TOW, most likely a Swingfire being fired from a Striker AFV. A varient of the Scorpian AFV design. See drawing at lower left on page linked.

Just found out a friend of our family has been shipped to Kuwait to help with humanitarian aid.

Big bump for him, our military, and our allies.

God bless America.

It's not a TOW, most likely a Swingfire being fired from a Striker AFV.

I should have been less specific in my answer: I used "TOW" as a description of how it is guided (TOW is Tube-Launched, Optically Tracked, Wire Command). I didn't mean to identify it as the specific US system that operates that way.

From what I've been able to find about the Swingfire, it's certainly Tube-launched and Wire Command. Is it Optically tracked?

You know what, I bet that some day in the future, those images (paintings, mosaics, statues, etc.) of Saddam will be worth a lot of money, the ones that aren't destroyed that is, although there seem to be so very many of them that it may take years to remove them all!
