For what it's worth, Shuster did just say the eleven remains were found inside the hospital.

He may say something different fifteen minutes from now, of course.

Good point. I'm sure that there are families of POWs and MIAs out there watching them screw this up royally.

I always trust "fair and balanced" Fox over PMSNBC. That is an awful journalistic mistake. Let's just hope Fox is right.

'Hospital' must be arabic for torture/execution chamber.

True. But there have to be steps we can take against the purveyors of demonic lies.

I'm leaning towards the EMP Step or MOAB Step, myself. We should just pay off the Emir of Kuwait, buy the channel and shut it down.

now that's a little crazy. i mean if we did that, we'd have to send genetalia to the leaders of about 150 other countries.

But I bet we'd only have to do it once!

Okay, MSNBC has now TOTALLY backtracked to match what Fox says. Eleven bodies, no clue how many Americans. Both the on-screen graphics and Alex Witt's teleprompter were changed. Shuster TOTALLY BLEW IT!!!

Please take this out of breaking news, knock it down to extended and perhaps alter the headline to something like "MSNBC airs false report claiming CENTCOM confirmation of 11 KIAs".

"Wonder how they French will explain this."

They will bid on more hospital contracts?

"France" is becoming a very, very dirty word - One Third of all FRENCH are rooting for Iraq to win.

Are we surprised?

i'd like to make it clear to everyone, by the way, that neither Shuster nor Witt spent so much as a single syllable actually backtracking. They simply changed the story from one moment to the next. Shuster changed his story, Witt changed her story, the on-screen graphics were changed. Not ONCE did they say "We made a mistake." It's a total coverup.

"Film the whole thing and broadcast it throughout the Arab world."

From the Reagan days . .

Filming begins at 11.

See #75. MSNBC isn't backtracking or admitting any fault; they just completely changed the story between commercials.

...and they wonder why their ratings normally don't make it above 1.0 during prime time. That is appauling. They should apologize to the families of the POWS/MIAs that they upset with that report. Just plain irresponsible.

My letter to Shuster:

Mr. Shuster,

Certainly you MUST realize that there are families and friends of POWs and MIAs watching your broadcast, right?

How could you possibly screw up like you have in the past hour and report that the 11 bodies were definitely Americans, and then say, "Whoops", maybe they aren't all Americans???? The math isn't hard to figure. 12 soldiers from the 507th were captured, one has been rescued. You do realize the natural assumptions being made by these poor families, don't you???

Unless you have some damn good reason for this egregious error, you should be glad you don't work for me; because I would fire your unprofessional ass before the night was through!
