What a lot of people don't understand (or don't care to) is how many technological advantages we've made in the last 20-25 years.

I remember the idiots in the late 80's whining about the Apache Helicopter (will never work, too expensive), the A-1 Abrams tank (will never work, too expensive), the Bradley fighting vehicle (will never work, too expensive), the F-18, etc.

It ain't been hot there yet. 80s is long way from 100 degrees.
The desert training I went through had us learning how to layer like those Bedoins to keep blazing sun from killing you.
