How could we take your post wrong? It applies to men and women. If someone is an ass it shows through pretty quick and that initial attraction fades fast.

Not just that, but the reverse is also true. If you are in contact with someone who wouldn't pass the original 'appearance' criteria for any length of time, their appearance changes as their inner beauty is allowed to emerge and supplement their outer beauty.
But I emphasized this behaviour in men because we are so much more visually driven.
