Thank you, Ma'am, and for the Service your husband, and children are providing.

My wife and I met 3 families 2 weeks ago who had sons and daughters serving in the Mideast. We were honored to speak with them, and saw the fabric of our society right before our eyes.

I think we are at a crossroads in our Country. If we don't prevail, which I know we will, our freedoms, and liberties will be in jepordy. That's why I believe those that oppose this war don't understand what the implications that they are advocating will be if they're successful in having the United States capitulate. This will solve nothing, and create more problems than we will ever imagine. Don't think North Korea isn't watching this with great interest. If they see us win this war, which I know we will, this will increase our leverage to continue to negotiate to get them to disarm. Reagan was only successful because they knew he mean't business, and would not back down.

If we pull out, not only will the rest of the Arab Nations see us as paper tigers, but North Korea will continue to act with impunity.

We have a tremendous President, and I thank God everyday that he is calling the shots, and has shown tremendous resolve to win this war.

I always remember a picture of Gen. MacArthur I saw at the American Legion post down in Milwaukee, when I was a boy.

It had him in full uniform, saluting, with a quote underneath that said, "We shall fight, or we shall die."

It has always stuck with me.

God Bless.

Wow! Thanks for your post! When my son was in the seventh grade he met Jeane MacArthur, the widow of General MacArthur on a school field trip to the MacArthur Memorial.

He was very impressed with her and she was very gracious to him. Asked him where he was born and when he said Arkansas she mentioned that General MacArthur was also born in Arkansas. She asked my son what he wanted to do with himself when he grew up and encouraged him to go to West Point.

Drew was so impressed with her that he asked for her autograph but only had a dollar bill for her to sign. He kept that autograph and in his yearling year at West Point he hung it on the wall. Cadets would go in and touch it before big exams for luck.
