Using that term raises expectations beyond any semblance of reality. Inadvertent or not, Adelman (and the others, Perle and Clintoon) should NEVER have used it.

Alternatives: Successful and relatively brief campaign; Expeditious campaign which should minimize Coalition force casualties; Dangerous but necessary mission which should have a favorable result in a relatively short timeframe.

I did not approve of these statements!Sorry if it looked that way.Clintoon ,et al should be given duct tape. I blame the media for running with it,too. Americans adjusted to fighting,casualties,etc.The gloom and doomers are left with hope of quagmire,Clintoon will continue vying with Carter for worst ex pres.
