Oh yeah...and if you happen to see Jerry Lewis through them, he actually seems funny.

The Russian stuff is OK, I actually have a pair of level II NVGs that were made in Russia. While nowhere near as good as our level III (probaly level IV now!) they do provide a very good view in very low-light conditions. I'd hate to think they had the latest Ruskie stuff, which is probably close to ours.
Now, the French stuff is either our stuff with a "Cheesey" French label, or if actually made in France, are probably as good as the ones you get in a Cracker Jack box.

I lived in Trier for 2 years on French/German border and never figured out the Jerry Lewis fascination.

Also the EPOWs are saying that a group of ex-Soviet/Russian generals are advising the Iraqis on their battle plans. How much should this worry us? I assume the Russians are alot smarter than the Iraqi military leaders. I got a feeling they have a "trap" setup against us, not that it will work or anything, but a last gasp kind of thing..

I've tried it several times, and EVERY time I get the fatal error message which closes down IE and other things when I click OK. I've given up trying to see anything. But thanks.
CNN, Jane Kalak, N, Iraq, planes overhead targeting Iraqi positions. So far no real ground attack from coalition forces. No heavy armor in north. Iraqis pulling back to Kirkuk. Kurds chomping at the bit.

I am taking this just like a lot of the intelligence released by the embedds, suspect until verified later via television/print. I don't think the Iraqi military has a trap left in them. Baghdad could get interesting though. JMHO

Those media outlets don't get it and that is why they keep losing rating and subscriptions. Most of the American People are tried of their one sided news coverage and Fox News offers both sides and let us decide
Also keep in mind that Fox News is not in every city like CNN is.
My mother lives in Philly and didn't get Fox, we had to get her a satelite dish because we were afraid she would have a stroke from yelling at the bad coverage on CNN .. and my mother is a registered Democrat.

Great story...unfortunately, my mom and dad are also Dems and still "don't get it". Dad has had some flashes of hope over the years (he hates Soc Sec and Medicare and at 68 refuses to use Medicare), but still voted for Gore in 2000.
My mom is not worth the time to even try to convince her she's wrong. She worshiped Clinton.

The war crimes are piling up. But don't worry, the left wing morons will declare moral equivalence and spin.

My in-laws are both dems .. dad in-law leans more right though, but mom in-law is a clinton fan
They are always complaining about how much they have to pay in taxes .. blah blah blah
Finally I asked, if you hate it so much why do you vote for Dems. .. cause they are the one that raise your taxes
I never really got a good answer from them

That sounds familiar. Democrats are the biggest whiners and complainers but never do anything to change the situation.
I can't tell you how many times I get "thumbs up" for ideas I propose and then say, "well, that is what the GOP is proposing in Congress and the Dems say no"....mumble, mumble, "Republicans are evil", mumble, mumble.
Got to admit though, keeps the phone calls from the family down to a minimum. Except for my youngest brother that just retired from the Air Force!
