There has been some comments in recent days during a lul in the action about "idols" of both sexes...I didn't consider it a slap in anyone's fae, or indicative of their genuine thoughts, more a levity break in a stressfull time....just like conversations about pets and hobbies crop up, it is part of interacting with people on the otherwise impersonal internet..by the way I am a dog lover and cats are...hup two three and a quarter....

I sure am tired and want to hit the hay, but by morning this thing might be exciting or over..my thoughts are with our troops..seems they are well prepared, trained and up for this battle....I suggest next thread we post PFC Jessica Lynch instead of belly girl, she has earned it..

MSNBC just ran an ad stating their reporting would not compromise the security of any of our armed forces. One of those no talking ads with a flag-like thing on the left margin. Then they ask for comments and give their web address. They are really smarting over the Arnett thing and trying to stick it to Fox re:Geraldo.
To: babaloo
I think that announcement is ridiculous. Why do they feel the need to inform the public of this instead of just following the policy silently?

update on the iraq/al jazeera info
DOHA, Qatar (AP) The Arab satellite channel Al-Jazeera announced Thursday that Iraqi officials are expelling one of its reporters from Baghdad and barring another from reporting.
The station interrupted a regular newscast to announce that Iraq's Information Ministry had informed it that correspondent Diar al-Omari, an Iraqi, could no longer report for the network and that visiting correspondent Tayseer Allouni must leave the country.
''Regretting this decision, Al-Jazeera has decided to suspend its live broadcast from Iraq and will only broadcast recorded items received from Iraq,'' the station announced.
There was no immediate announcement of the move from Iraqi officials, who have taken similar actions against several Western networks, including CNN.
Western critics have often accused Al-Jazeera of a pro-Iraqi bias in its coverage of the U.S.-led attack on Saddam Hussein's government.
The station is partially financed by the government of Qatar, which also hosts the U.S. military's Central Command for the region.

I never said you (or any other hormone driven male) could not post her picture. That's what is sure sounded like you were saying.
I said she should not be placed before a true hero....I said you should put her where she belongs....
OK, fair enough.
Your response was.... She stays. Period
She will. As a pin up girl, not a hero, although I think her actions have have a big part in her popularity. She's not just a pretty face. She stood up to be counted in a hostle crowd, before it was popular.
I still say that you were the one dictating what would be posted on this board.
Partly true, the plea:
"Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help"
Is indeed mine. One of the perks of posting a thread is you get to set the tone.
But, please do note that it was/is a request, not an order...
Thanks for the clarification. I feel much better towards you!

I don't think I will ever understand the Russians. Interesting links, mostly lies. Nothing has changed in Russia it appears.

I agree with you. Fox's going for the jugular reporting on the Arnett thing was cited in one article I read as being a main reason NBC canned him. Hey, when your highest rated show is behind the MTV Real World POS, I guess you gotta try something.
To: Green
because if pmsnbc didn't explain it slowly in one syllable terms, most of what remains of their audience wouldn't notice.
