Their music was not that good from the begining. Next bimbettes please. Their music was good back when it was pure bluegrass with no amplifiers or percussion....back when they were playing without Natalie at bluegrass jamborees with their parents.

I just heard a caller on Hannity's radio show say that there are radio reports in Virginia that the Chicks are breaking up after their world tour due to "creative differences."
Wouldn't surprise me.

Some stations are playing the "original" version sung by the writer- Bruce RobisonOh, I'll have to keep a listen out for that. I always like watching videos on TNN cause when they showed the name of the song, they showed the singer, name of album and the songwriter!

To be fair, it should be noted that the country singles chart is notorious for its Jell-O-like consistency; it's quite rare for a song to stay at #1 for more than a week or so, and songs drop off very quickly compared to the top 40 chart once they hits their peak. (Why this is, I have no idea.) But for a song to go from #1 to FALLING OFF THE CHART COMPLETELY in just two weeks is pretty much unheard of.
EAT IT, CHICKS!

Message I just posted on Natalie's website.
Natalie learned a lesson that we all must learn -- behavior has consequenses. She exercised her freedom of speech. She has that right. Unfortunately, she hurt a lot of people in the process. She went to foriegn soil and insulted our President and those of us who admire him. By insulting the Commander-in-Chief, she insulted the brave men and women who are liberating a tortured nation and taking the war on terror to the source.
If she has more information than the President, the Congress, the intelligence community, let her share it.
Bottom line -- she has the freedom of speech. Freedom has a cost. The price she is paying is nothing compared to the price being paid by our brave men and women in Iraq.

Thank goodness I did all my concert-going back in the Seventies.
Got to see dozens of fantastic shows for anywhere from $4-$8 each.
People who pay this much $$$ for an hour or two transient entertainment are nuts!!

The PEOPLE have spoken...... I was at the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey finale last night. The team was giving away various prizes. One fan was lucky enough to win, you guessed it, a pair of Dixie Chicks tickets for an upcoming concert at Mellon Arena. When it was announced what she had won, the fans nearly booed the dome off of the old igloo. I don't think the DC's core base took too kindly to Fatilies comments. Stay in Europe girls, and don't pi$$ off your new fan base.
