The tide is not turning in Iraq. The tide has been flowing full in one direction since the beginning of this war and is giving the Baghdad regime a real baath.

I would say it's more like a snowball gaining speed, rather than the tide turning, So far nothing has ebbed Iraq's way

Now wait a minute! I've been reading reports that we are losing the war and that the Iraqi people don't want us to liberate them. Hmmm..must be some flawed reporting.

"Long live our nation, long live Palestine, long live Iraq," said Sahhaf, reading from the statement. "Let us go an do jihad. Long live our nation. God is great, and the evil criminals will be the losers." Sahhaf pointedly added the date, "April 1, 2003."

Well, heck, if Sahhaf "pointedly added" a date to the message, then Saddam *must* have been alive!!

"These attacks were intended to create vulnerabilities in the Republican Guard defenses, and also to isolate the remaining pockets of resistance for destruction at a time of our choosing," said Army Brig. Gen. Vincent K. Brooks, briefing reporters at U.S. Central Command field headquarters in Doha, Qatar.

Is it just me, or is that phrase "at a time of our choosing" being bandied about alot more, ever since Bush said it during his post 9/11 speech? I like the line, it is arrogant and very "American".

I wouldn't say the tide is turning except in the courage of the Iraqi.

With the increasing doubt that Saddam lives, more and more people will rise up as they shed their fear of retribution and realize we are really going to get it done this time.
