We donate a lot of it. I only go til the freezers are full unless somebody says, "I sure could use some....." I'd rather drive tractors with bush hogs, plows and such, during the rest of the year.

thinning and donating is a good thing - there are noises being made up here that they are going to open up the number of doe tags - we have to many deer up here - so there may be a change in tag limits this year reflecting the thinking of stopping the herd growth by drastically reducing the doe count

personally i need 3/year - 1 for me - 1 for my dad - and 1 for my "i don't eat commercially raised meat" daughter

as for me - i'm aiming out now to go traipse through the local turkey hotspot and check how things are looking - it's 60 and sunshining - got to get outdoors and enjoy
