i'm 50 and got mine - a bolt action - from my grandfather in gradeschool close to 40 years ago - it was old - as i remember it - when i got it from him - he wanted me to shoot the squirrels in the area - he considered them tasty pests - he also taught me to shoot a pistol when i was in 3rd grade - and i actually learned to shoot at a target that was in front of the broad side of a barn - with the animals in the pasture - great memories

I'm only 49, my dad bought the Model 36 in the late 40's so I guess it's over 50. Squirrel with dumplings (I'm a Southerner). I also have a Marlin 22 auto rifle that will group entire mag in one inch rapid fire at 100 yards. My favorite deer rifle is my Browning A Bolt 270 with flat finish and composite stock. Leupold 3X10 50 MM scope. Kill a gnat at 300 yards.
